This page covers the Yellow Dude training app for iPhone and Android.

What the app keeps, and why

• Your account. If you sign in with Apple, we keep the email address Apple shares with us (often a private relay address), so your training can follow you to a new phone.
• Your training. The workouts you log (sets, reps, times and how they felt), the workouts you build, level changes, week plans, favourites and the days you plan to train. With an account, it's copied to your account, so it's safe if you lose your phone.
• Your body measurements, if you give them. Height and weight are optional. We use them in the app and, rounded, in our product analytics.
• Your own exercises. The names you give them and any photo or video you add. Photos and videos stay on your phone and, when you're signed in, in your own private storage. Videos are kept without their sound, and without the place they were filmed.
• Your subscription. When you subscribe, Apple handles the payment. We keep whether you're subscribed and your purchase history so the app knows what to unlock.
• Feedback you send us. Your message, the screen you were on, your app version, phone model and operating system.
• How the app is used. The screens you visit, the features you use, and a recording of the screen during a session, so we can see where the app is confusing. Everything you type is hidden in those recordings, and so are your own photos and videos. We also see your approximate city and country, worked out from your internet address.
• Crash reports. When the app crashes, a report with the phone model, operating system and app version, not linked to you.

What we never do

We use your data to run the app and make it better. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Who helps us

• Supabase stores accounts and synced training, in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany).
• Amplitude runs our product analytics and session recordings, in the US.
• Sentry receives crash reports, in the US.
• Our own server (Hetzner, Helsinki, Finland) receives your feedback.
• Apple handles sign-in and payments.

Your choices

• Use the app without an account: everything stays on your phone.
• Skip height and weight.
• Delete your account any time in the app, from Profile, then Delete account. That removes your account, your synced training and your photos and videos from our storage.
• Reminders are set on your phone itself. Switch them off in the phone's settings.
